SCRIP PROGRAM (scroll down for forms)
This fundraiser is easy to use and earns money for Lincoln Elementary and your family while you shop!
What is SCRIP?
SCRIP is an American term to describe a substitute for currency, and has been around since the 1980s. We work with Great Lakes SCRIP Center (shopwithscrip.com) a national company that helps fundraising entities (like PALS) raise money with little effort. Dozens of local and national retailers participate in this program by giving a certain percentage of any purchase (rebate) made with SCRIP gift cards back to the group that sold the SCRIP. The rebate is retained by the non-profit organization as revenue.
How Does SCRIP Help Me?
While the Parent Association of Lincoln School, Inc. will benefit from SCRIP, so will you! The rebate from each purchased gift card directly benefits, PALS, LES, and your family by accruing over the school year. In our program, we split the rebate with member families: 50% goes to PALS and 50% goes into an account for your family to use towards various fees in the school district. Annually, in the summer, a check will be disbursed to you and the PWSSD, to be used for school registration fees, sports fees, and hot lunches.
For example, currently, Kohl’s Department Store rebates 4% to SCRIP. If you purchase $600 in Kohl’s cards, the total rebate will be $24. This $24 will be split between your family and the Parent Association of Lincoln School, Inc. at the end of the fiscal year (June 30).
Can People Outside of the LES Family Participate?
Yes! Anyone who is interested in participating in SCRIP with the Parent Association of Lincoln School, Inc. is welcome! Please grab an extra information packet and have them start an account. They can designate their rebate percentage to your child, or to the general PALS, Inc. fund - which will help us reach our annual fundraising goals.
How Do I Start?
You can participate in our SCRIP program anytime. You may set up an account online or order using the order forms located in the LES office. Online ordering provides convenience, simplicity, and the greatest variety of ordering options.
Please support and thank the local businesses that participate in our SCRIP program:
